French Foreign Minister Fabius: "A Deal That Cannot Be Verified Cannot Be Implemented"

Today, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius insisted on the ability to inspect all sites within Iran before the P5+1 signs off on a nuclear deal with Iran. Fabius stated, "A deal that cannot be verified cannot be implemented."

France's tenacious stand comes at a time when the Obama administration is seeking to renege on promises to suspend only sanctions on Iran pertaining to its nuclear development program in order to reach a "final" (as in "final solution") nuclear agreement with Iran before the June 30 deadline. Suddenly, sanctions upon Iran which relate to ICBMs, terrorism and human rights violations are all susceptible to interpretation and negotiation.

Oppression of Iran's Baha'is, Kurds, Sunnis, Christians, homosexuals and women? ICBMs tipped with nuclear warheads that are able to reach the US? None of this matters to Obama, who is desperately in search of a legacy.

Other news pertaining to Iran: Hezbollah, Iran's proxy in Lebanon, continues to be weakened by casualties in its struggle with the al-Nusra Front and ISIS in Syria, and Nasrallah has every reason to be worried by the toll the war is taking on the armed wing of his organization.

  1. Blowback from that recent Persian disdain of France was Iran's big mistake.

One would think postmodernist Obama would see Iran as a colonial oppressor in the remnants of empire now inside Iran's political border. THAT would be a legacy...

Did the Saudis really call for an independent Kurdistan?
One would think Obama would want to lead on that, the ultimate legacy for any American President.

Instead, Obama tries to undo Truman's legacy (Israel) whilst allowing Wilson's betrayal of the Kurds at Versailles to stand.
